The models reflect the makers’ many years of experience in sneaker production. All models are made in Portugal from environmentally friendly leather. And the insides of all models also impress connoisseurs: They have a chrome-free inner leather, removable footbed and an insole made from genuine cork. This comes from Portuguese cork oaks, is sustainable and renewable. And ensures an optimal and hygienic climate in the shoe.
Sustainable Heritage
The origins of Greenwood Berlin lie in the Swiss Heritage label, which was founded in Switzerland in the early 2000s. The company was already offering sustainable sneakers back then – long before eco fashion became a trend. When the company moved to Berlin, the name changed from Swiss Heritage to Greenwood Berlin.
The name of the label is based on a characteristic of Berlin that many people are not even aware of: the city, which is particularly famous for its street life, is one of the most wooded and therefore greenest cities in Europe.
